Variety: 70% Garnacha y 30% Syrah.
Baltasar Gracián is the main range of the winery. High altitude vineyards, different orientations and exceptional slate and gravel soils, which, together with the antiquity of its traditional, bush vines, produce grapes harvests of exceptional quality.
Garnachas coming from high hillsides of grey slate of the steep landscape of The Santa Cruz Hill. Mountainous area with altitudes of 900m.
Old bush vines planted in the 20’s with an average yield of 1500 kg/ha.
De-stemmed and non-crushed grapes. Alcoholic fermentation in open oak barrels of 500 liters. Careful punching down. Long post-fermentative maceration during 30 days.
Ageing for 12 months in French oak of 225 liters.
